San Blas Bird Watching 2 days
San Blas is a beautiful fishing village located 2 hours north from Puerto Vallarta, it is considered one of the tourist icons of the Mexican Pacific due to its natural beauty and historical significance. The port of San Blas was founded in the seventeenth century and became the most important port in the Pacific. It has historical monuments and buildings such as the ancient fort of San Blas and the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary “The Sailor”. In addition to it’s historical importance San Blas is surrounded with calm water beaches, ponds, springs and mangroves that make it a tropical paradise for the wide variety of species that live there.
SAN BLAS BIRD WATCHING 2 DAY TOUR
San Blas is considered a birding paradise with a wide variety of species of birds, the Audubon Society estimates that is home of more than 300 species, which places San Blas as the second place for bird watching, just behind Panama. Most of these species live in accesible areas, making this the favorite spot for bird watching in Mexico. Ornithologists from all over the world come to San Blas to find birds or to participate in the annual bird count. NO we don’t do pick ups, first because the bay is really big and it will take an eternity, but most important because taxis have concessions at hotels and they are like a mafia. You will need to take a taxi to our meeting point as well back to your hotel.
YES we guarantee that you will see whales if not money back
NO, because dolphins have a specific territory and whales are moving in all the bay. The tour is focused mainly on whales and spending the whole morning with them. also somedays they will be far and it will take longer to find them. Even if we find dolphins sometimes they are playing with the whales and it is not safe for swimming, and also sometimes we find other species of dolphins and not the group we use for swimming. If you are interested in swimming with dolphins we recommend the dolphins in the wild tour.
YES, on board there are a life vests and life jackets for adults and kids
Normally no but it always depends on each person sensibility to motion movement as well as ocean conditions. If someone is really sensitive we recommend to take only half dramamine pill so it doesn’t make you sleepy but helps with the motion movement.
